The location was great for our family, and the friendly staff always made us feel welcome. However, the outdated bathrooms and lack of electrical outlets were frustrating during our stay.

The pool had poor maintenance issues, including being green!!! The shower struggled to deliver consistent water temperature, and the check-in experience was quite confusing. I'd recommend clearer communication on amenities available!!! Overly strong room deodorizer lingered unpleasantly.

Comfortable room, clean pool, the atmosphere at the bar with great courtious staff made my stay enjoyable, especially after indulging in their delicious air-fried french fries and warm scrambled eggs for breakfast.

I had a great stay at Surestay Plus Hotel! The whirlpool suite was incredibly clean, and the beds were comfy. The on-site bar was perfect, with a friendly bartender serving up delicious food. It's a convenient stop for those traveling through.

The stay at Best Western in Black River Falls had its ups and downs. The bed in the King Suite with Sofa Bed was comfortable, making it easy to get a good night's sleep after a long day. The staff were friendly and accommodating, which always makes a stay more pleasant. I appreciated the pool area. It was clean and inviting. Having a bar on-site was a nice touch, and their air-fried french fries hit the spot. Breakfast was fine, serving warm scrambled eggs and waffles, although more variety would enhance the experience. On the downside, the room had a strong odor from the citrus deodorizer they used. It was overpowering and made settling in uncomfortable. The bathroom had some maintenance issues, especially with the shower's lukewarm water and low pressure. Also, black mold in some areas was concerning. Check-in wasn't seamless as my prior experience had me expecting a credit that wasn’t honored. It felt frustrating having to clarify that again. Small issues with the furniture placement in the room made navigation tricky. For the price, I expected a little more attention to detail, especially in terms of cleanliness and upkeep.

i had a great time at best western. the pool and hot tub were super clean and inviting. i even got to enjoy them all by myself! the location was perfect for my meeting, and the air-fried french fries from the bar were some of the best i’ve had. plus, the complimentary breakfast offered delicious scrambled eggs and breakfast sausage.

The air-fried french fries at the bar were delicious. The pool area felt clean and was warm enough that I could relax without feeling cold. However, I encountered some issues during my stay. The noise from nearby rooms disrupted my sleep. I also found the shower water temperature inconsistent, and it didn’t deliver a strong stream. The breakfast was decent with scrambled eggs and sausage, but I wished for a bit more variety. The staff were nice, but check-in wasn’t smooth. they didn’t honor my prior credit, which was frustrating. I had to clarify that I expected. I would consider coming back but hope for improvements in the cleaning department and attention to maintenance.

Our group had a great time! The location made it easy to access snowmobile trails, and we enjoyed the hot tub while swapping stories with fellow sledders. The morning breakfast had warm food, which was a nice start to our days. Overall, it was a fun and memorable retreat with friends.

The only downside was the broken shower head in our room, which made it hard to use without spraying everywhere.
